Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivern Gustavsson (ranked 860 p4p, 442 weight class) and Gregory Motts (ranked 23 p4p, 10 weight class). Gustavsson comes to the cage accompanied by Knockout - 2Pac. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivern Gustavsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregory Motts! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gustavsson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Gustavsson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Motts misses with a hook. Gustavsson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Motts sprawls well. Motts wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gustavsson gets slowly back to his feet. Gustavsson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Motts swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivern Gustavsson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gustavsson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Motts. Gustavsson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Motts keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Motts felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Still in half guard, Gustavsson seems content to control. Gustavsson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Motts keeps working. Gustavsson controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've been hearing good reports from Gustavsson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Gustavsson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Motts is not content to let Gustavsson control the position. Motts trying to control here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Gustavsson misses with a hook
letting Motts counter with a right hand.
It looks like Ivern Gustavsson has been cut. Gustavsson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Motts but Motts pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Motts throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gustavsson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Motts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gustavsson somewhat. Gustavsson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Motts sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gustavsson. Gustavsson with the ground and pound but Motts regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Motts is trying to get back to full guard. Motts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gustavsson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nice strikes from Gustavsson there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gustavsson controlling the action here. Gustavsson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Further stalling from Gustavsson. Motts on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Gustavsson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Motts is looking to control Gustavsson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Motts avoid being mounted? Gustavsson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Motts keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gustavsson is looking to take a break and control but Motts is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gustavsson trying to advance position but Motts counters by regaining guard. Gustavsson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Motts has his hands on Gustavsson's head, controlling the position. Gustavsson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Motts on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ivern Gustavsson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ivern Gustavsson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Motts looks to land a right hand but Gustavsson moved out of range. Motts leaves Gustavsson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gustavsson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Motts counters with a left to the body. Gustavsson looks for a takedown but Motts sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivern Gustavsson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gustavsson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Motts tries to avoid it but Gustavsson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Motts to the ground. Motts escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gustavsson doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Motts counter with a right hand. Gustavsson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Gustavsson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Motts cracks Gustavsson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Gustavsson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Motts finish him?
Gustavsson is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gustavsson is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Motts doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Gustavsson crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Gustavsson's bad books for that mishap!
