Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Penrose (ranked 436 p4p, 801 weight class) and Oliver Smith (ranked 13 p4p, 22 weight class). Smith is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Saliva Click Click Boom. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Roger Penrose! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Smith! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith throws a nice looking combination but Penrose bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Penrose swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Penrose looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Smith!
Smith has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A combination from Smith does no damage. Penrose feinted there with a counter leg kick. Penrose dodges the punch combination from Smith.
Smith throws a series of punches but Penrose moves out of range. Smith misses with a few strikes there.
A low kick from Penrose is predictable there and Smith counters with a straight right hand. Smith throws a right and a left that Penrose avoids nicely. Penrose swings and misses with a shot to the body and Smith counters with a lovely straight right hand! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smith throws a nice looking combination but Penrose bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Penrose jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Penrose scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Oliver Smith has been cut. Smith misses with a lunging right hand
and Penrose counters with a low kick, right behind Smith 's knee. Penrose takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Penrose is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Penrose throws a half hearted mid kick. Smith wants to counter with a clinch but Penrose pushes him away. Smith lands a two punch combo.
Nice straight punches there by Smith. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smith. Penrose gets a clinch. Penrose tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Smith's elbow. Penrose gets through Smith's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Penrose throws a head punch that misses. Smith blocks an uppercut.
Smith throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Penroses head. Penrose has a couple of punches blocked by Smith.
A shot in the inside from Penrose. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith lands a right hand. Smith lands with a right to the head. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Penrose. A shot in the inside from Smith. Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Penrose prevents Smith from breaking the clinch. Smith has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Smith blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Penrose throws a punch but it's blocked by Smith. Penrose tries a body shot but Smith blocks it.
Penrose escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Penrose counters by clinching up. Smith lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Penrose tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Penrose's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Smith misses with a knee to the head. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Penrose. Penrose misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Smith swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Smith breaks the clinch.
Oliver Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith throws a nice looking combination but Penrose bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A quick step to the side and Penrose tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Smith misses with a double jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Penrose throws a push kick but Smith slaps the foot to one side. Smith throws a combination that misses and Penrose counters with a nice kick to the body. A low kick lands for Penrose.
Penrose scores with a nice strike. Penrose takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Penrose manages to avoid it. A big right from Smith misses. Smith throws a right hand that misses
and Penrose counters with a leg kick. Penrose looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Nice cross by Smith. Smith misses with the combination.
Smith throws a nice looking combination but Penrose bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Smith rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Penrose counters with a nice right hand that sends Smith toppling to the canvas! Smith scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Penrose finish him?!
Smith is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Penrose gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Penrose finish him? Nice body punch from Penrose - that landed with a thud.
Smith looks winded! Penrose creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Smith's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Smith drops to his knees and Penrose pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roger Penrose! Roger Penrose retains his super heavyweight title! Roger Penrose seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. Oliver Smith was interviewed post fight and said 'You win some you lose some. I will be back and I am going sleep some of you fools.'.
