Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Giovanni De Rossi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yacoub Zafir!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Rossi moves into the clinch successfully.
De Rossi gets control of Zafir's arms and successfully pulls guard. De Rossi will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Zafir wanted to stand there but De Rossi had control of the position.
Zafir is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but De Rossi has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Zafir is looking to defend but De Rossi has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Zafir! De Rossi pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Zafir taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Giovanni De Rossi!
Giovanni De Rossi bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
