PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tobias Berge (ranked 1493 p4p, 1419 weight class) and Dennis Frost (ranked 195 p4p, 184 weight class). Tobias Berge is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tobias Berge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Frost!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Frost. That snapped Berge's head back.
Berge tries to bum rush Frost with a series of wild strikes but Frost uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Frost has managed to clinch.

Berge decides to pull guard.
Berge definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Frost passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Berge tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Frost wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Berge can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Berge is not content to let Frost control the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Berge is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Frost pulls his head out easily.

Berge has his foot on Frost's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Frost works his way back into a safe position though.

Berge escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Frost gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Frost wants to take a breather but Berge is having none of it.

Berge has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Frost is working away from the top position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Berge is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Frost pulls his head out easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dennis Frost will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

The crowd cheers as Frost lands an impressive looking overhand right. Berge doesn't seem phased though.

Berge tries to counter with a takedown but Frost is quick to defend against it.
Frost lands a nice shot that snaps Berge's head back.
Frost has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Berge swats away the attempt to clinch by Frost.
Berge closes the distance and clinches up with Frost, looking for a takedown. Berge pushes Frost against the ropes but Frost circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Berge on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Berge will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Frost moves in looking to clinch but Berge pushes him off.
Nice shot lands for Frost.
Frost throws a body punch but Berge moves out of range.
Berge drops down looking for a counter takedown but Frost sprawls and moves away.

so Berge counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Berge wants to pass the guard but Frost is keeping the position.

Berge drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Frost dives on top into guard.


Berge has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Frost can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Frost is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Berge has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Frost is looking to defend but Berge has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Frost! Berge pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Frost taps out and this one is all over!
