Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Walburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Walburn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rick James! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. James showed some decent athleticism there. James is trying to control. Walburn wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Walburn is trying to get back to full guard. James trying to control from half guard but Walburn is working away. Walburn keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Walburn is looking to get back to full guard here but James has managed to pass to side control instead. Walburn working to try and regain half guard.
James wants to finish this one by submission but Walburn is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from James. James is going olschool here, as he tries to force Walburn to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Walburn shrugs it off. Walburn can't escape the position.
Walburn defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from James. James prevents Walburn from getting the reversal.
That's one minute gone in the round. James wants to finish this one by submission but Walburn is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from James. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. James has control of Walburn's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Walburn regains control of the situation pretty easily.
James looks gassed! James trying to control but Walburn is having none of it. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Walburn can't escape the position.
Walburn defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from James. Walburn working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Walburn throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Walburn bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! James pulls Walburn in close to prevent any damage. James looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Walburn drops back looking for a leg! James is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and James manages to kick Walburn off! Walburn jumps back into James's guard. Walburn wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walburn lands a couple of decent looking shots. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Walburn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Walburn wanted to stand there but James had control of the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! James throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Walburn slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Walburn tries to move into full mount but can't pass James's legs. James gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James moves into full guard.
Walburn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! James is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Walburn, into his guard. Walburn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Walburn can't keep his opponent in guard - James advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. James is trying for a kimura here. Walburn looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! James wins by kimura!
