Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Walburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. James showed some decent athleticism there.
James is trying to control. Walburn wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Walburn is trying to get back to full guard.

James wants to finish this one by submission but Walburn is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from James.

James is going olschool here, as he tries to force Walburn to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Walburn shrugs it off.

James wants to finish this one by submission but Walburn is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from James.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

James has control of Walburn's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Walburn regains control of the situation pretty easily.

James pulls Walburn in close to prevent any damage.

Walburn drops back looking for a leg! James is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and James manages to kick Walburn off! Walburn jumps back into James's guard.
Walburn wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position.

Walburn lands a couple of decent looking shots.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Walburn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Walburn wanted to stand there but James had control of the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Walburn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! James is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Walburn, into his guard.

Walburn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Walburn can't keep his opponent in guard - James advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

James is trying for a kimura here. Walburn looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! James wins by kimura!
