The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Rossi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Peeples throws a series of punches but De Rossi moves out of range.
De Rossi has closed the distance and engaged Peeples in a clinch.
De Rossi tries to pull guard but Peeples holds him up against the cage and eventually De Rossi drops back down to his feet.
Peeples is trying to break the clinch but De Rossi is controlling him.
Peeples tries a body shot but De Rossi blocks it.

A combination from Peeples does no damage.
A slow jab from Peeples misses its intended target.
Kawonn Peeples seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Rossi doesn't manage to clinch there - Peeples circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
