Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joey Chandler (ranked 3145 p4p, 3491 weight class) and Adam Barnes (ranked 347 p4p, 377 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joey Chandler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barnes tries to avoid it but Chandler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barnes to the ground. Barnes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Barnes only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Chandler on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Chandler closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Barnes's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barnes wants to sweep but no luck.
Chandler stops Barnes from standing up.

Barnes is looking to stand up but Chandler isn't so interested in that idea.
Barnes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've been told by Chandler's head coaches at Crapollas Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Chandler shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Chandler shoots in but no luck this time.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Barnes! But no joy.
Barnes connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Chandler shoots in but Barnes avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Chandler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Barnes is fending him off so far but Chandler persists. Nope, Barnes circles away and we're back to standing.
Chandler darts in looking for a takedown but Barnes gets double underhooks and turns Chandler into the cage.
Barnes let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Chandler swings wildly with an uppercut but Barnes uses good head movement to avoid it.

Barnes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

It looks like Joey Chandler has been cut.
Barnes is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Chandler had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barnes's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chandler under the eye.
Chandler looks to land a left hand but Barnes moved out of range nicely.

Barnes drops Chandler with a beautiful combination! Chandler stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Barnes is looking for the KO!

Barnes knocks out Chandler with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Barnes before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Barnes picks up the big W with a huge KO!

In his post fight interview, Adam Barnes started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
