Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cass Pennant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Cass Pennant! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones clinches with his opponent.
Jones digs a right hand underneath Pennant's ribcage. Pennant let out a lung full of air as it connected. Jones has had enough of the clinch but Pennant keeps him there for the moment. Jones throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Jones is looking to break free of the clinch but Pennant has double underhooks. Pennant wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A nice left hand lands by Jones.
Jones stalls. Pennant takes a shot to the head. Pennant tries for a takedown but Jones manages to get underhooks.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Jones. Jones is leaning against Pennant and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Jones jumps guard.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pennant really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pennant must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jones will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Pennant gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting. Pennant tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch. Pennant using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jones has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jones wants to get back to striking at distance but Pennant won't allow it.
Jones lands with a left to the head. Jones has had enough of the clinch but Pennant keeps him there for the moment. Pennant misses with an elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones digs a right hand underneath Pennant's ribcage. Pennant let out a lung full of air as it connected. Good body shot from Jones.
Pennant looks gassed! Jones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jones wriggles free and stands up. Jones looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Pennant is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones is pushing down on Pennant's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pennant is fighting to maintain full guard but Jones has managed to sneak the leg through. Jones throwing shots but Pennant is blocking nicely. Jones stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Pennant to get to his feet. Jones finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Jones closes the distance and clinches. Jones pushes Pennant back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A short right from Jones. Pennant wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Jones turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pennant struggling a bit here. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pennant keeps working. Pennant prevents Jones from improving position. Pennant tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pennant keeps working. That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pennant can't do much from the bottom here. Jones stands up and beckons Pennant to his feet. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pennant swats him away and circles back towards the center. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jones tries to pull guard but Pennant holds him up against the cage and eventually Jones drops back down to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pennant looking to throw knees to the head but Jones is blocking nicely.

Jones working some nice short punches in the clinch. Pennant with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Jones prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jones has hold of one of Pennant's legs. Pennant is fighting the takedown attempt but Jones gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Pennant is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Jones wants to control from the top but Pennant keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pennant keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Pennant. Pennant keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pennant feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jones is controlling Pennant's posture. Pennant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pennant loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Jones is trying to control the position but Pennant postures up. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones is keen to just control but Pennant is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pennant is trying to stand back up but Jones is controlling him
Pennant tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control. Jones is stalling here. Pennant is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jones seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Pennant has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pennant tries to move into full mount but can't pass Jones's legs. Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pennant wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Jones looking for a sweep but Pennant has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pennant avoids the attempt from Jones to control. Jones is looking to get to half guard. Pennant lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Pennant prevents Jones from getting the reversal. Pennant pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is desperately trying to improve his position but Pennant has a good base and remains in mount. Jones is squirming around, avoiding Pennant's attempts to control the action. Pennant looking to control and managing it successfully. Jones is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jones is working hard here to advance position. Pennant with shots to the head and body - Jones looks very uncomfortable down there. Pennant prevents Jones from getting the reversal. Jones is squirming around, avoiding Pennant's attempts to control the action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cass Pennant showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Pennant looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones clinches up with Pennant and pushes him back against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pennant creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Pennant jumps guard but Jones stands there with Pennant around his waist. Pennant gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Jones is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Jones decides to pull guard. Pennant is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jones is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pennant slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Jones. Jones tries to get to full guard but Pennant has control of the leg. Jones looking for submissions off his back. Jones trying to get back to full guard but Pennant takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Jones is looking to improve his position but Pennant isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pennant trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Jones tries to reverse the position but Pennant maintains control. Jones wants to try and get back to his feet. Pennant trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Pennant is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jones can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Pennant looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Jones throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pennant controlling from mount. Jones wants to hold on but Pennant pushes him away. Jones tries to reverse the position but Pennant maintains control. Pennant lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jones hang on? Pennant lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pennant breaks from Jones's wrist control and lands an elbow. Jones throwing hammer fists to the chest of Pennant. What's that going to do exactly? Pennant in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

And that's the end of the fight! Cass Pennant comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Pennant has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
