The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons fails with the takedown
and Laznar counters with a shoot takedown. Simmons fights it but they end up in guard.
Laznar works over Simmons with some ground and pound from guard.
Laznar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Laznar passes easily into side control. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laznar is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Simmons looks calm but he's in trouble here. Laznar gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Simmons is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Laznar lets go of the hold and Simmons can pop his arm back in it's socket.
