Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Gray (ranked 3748 p4p, 3527 weight class) and Hero Primo (ranked 134 p4p, 130 weight class). Hector Gray has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Gray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Hero Primo!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Primo misses with an uppercut.

Gray is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Primo's half guard.

Gray is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gray seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Primo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Primo gets full guard.
Gray content to stall in guard here.
Gray throws a strike but Primo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Primo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Primo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Primo tries to move into full mount but can't pass Gray's legs.

Primo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gray, who protects the arm well.
Gray regains half guard.
Primo is keen to just control but Gray is a slippery customer.
Primo prevents Gray from improving his position.
Gray manages to get to full guard.
Gray looking to control.
Gray might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Primo has gone for a leg lock! Gray slips out almost immediately though and dives into Primo's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Primo is trying to control but Gray manages to pass to mount!
Gray tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Primo is wriggling around trying to escape.

Primo wants to improve his position but Gray is controlling well.
Primo is staying active underneath Gray, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Gray throws a hook but Primo avoids it easily.

Gray closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Primo did well to prevent Gray getting side control.

Primo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gray pulls Primo in to control the position.

Primo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gray has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Primo has managed to get both his arms back between Gray's legs - danger averted.

Primo wants to control from the top but Gray keeps moving.
Primo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gray isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Primo stacks Gray on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Primo!

Primo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gray sees it coming and defends easily.

Primo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Gray wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gray looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Primo puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Gray is trying to maintain the position but Primo is very close to passing his half guard.
Gray is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Primo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Primo's back!
Gray throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Gray takes a jab right on the kisser.
Primo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gray counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Primo throws out a loose jab but Gray uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gray fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Primo manages to avoid it.

Primo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gray tries to get to full guard but Primo has control of the leg.

Primo is looking for a kimura but Gray is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Primo to get the leverage.

Primo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gray makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gray.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Gray with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Primo to score with a decent uppercut.

Gray shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Primo as he avoids it easily.

Gray bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Gray looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Donk. Primo catches Gray right on the button with a cross.
Gray throws a lazy right hand but Primo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And Primo tries to counter it with a takedown but Gray pushes his down on his head and steps out.

It looks like Hector Gray has been cut.
Primo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gray.
Primo is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
