Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James William (ranked 5501 p4p, 4362 weight class) and Otto Sutton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William comes to the cage accompanied by Sicko mode. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James William !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Otto Sutton!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sutton darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
William taking some punishment here, with Sutton in his half guard.
William keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Sutton looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Sutton is controlling the pace.
Let's hope that Sutton has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sutton's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

It looks like Sutton might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Sutton is nestled in close to William , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sutton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sutton cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

William is desperately trying to improve his position but Sutton has a good base and remains in mount.

Otto Sutton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Sutton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sutton is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down William 's shoulder. That is not cool.
William is looking to reverse the position.

Otto Sutton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sutton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
