Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bony Gomez (ranked 4360 p4p, 3064 weight class) and Kyle Arson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arson on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Arson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gomez tries to avoid it but Arson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gomez to the ground. Gomez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Arson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gomez is trying to defend but Arson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Gomez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Arson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Arson shoots in for a double leg but Gomez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gomez throws a big counter combination but Arson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Gomez connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Arson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Arson there as he acknowledges the shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Arson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gomez circles away.
Arson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Arson connects with a nice short shot to Gomez's temple.

Gomez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gomez wants it to stay on the feet.

Gomez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Arson shoots in looking for a takedown but Gomez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Arson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Gomez wants to clinch up but Arson keeps it at a distance.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Horrible takedown attempt by Arson or perhaps it was just good defense by Gomez, which made it look bad.

It looked like Gomez was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Arson.

Gomez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Arson can do to turn this around?
