PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tapio Virtainen (ranked 2551 p4p, 2285 weight class) and Kronos Doomsday (ranked 329 p4p, 293 weight class). Doomsday is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Main Theme - Doom Eternal. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I was talking to Virtainen's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Virtainen is fighting off a takedown attempt but Doomsday is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Virtainen to the mat. Virtainen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Tapio Virtainen will probably get the nod.

Doomsday has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Virtainen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Doomsday has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Virtainen should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Doomsday has tightened it up now! Virtainen should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
