Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Choi Ong (ranked 5288 p4p, 4370 weight class) and Aiden Dix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Choi Ong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aiden Dix! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ong fails to land with a series of punches.

Ong throws a poor cross that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Dix fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ong. Ong takes a swing at Dix's ribcage but misses. Ong misses with a looping right. Dix bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Dix connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ong momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ong throws a hook but Dix blocks it. Dix appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Ong chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dix can pounce on him.

He's obviously looking to slow Ong down. Dix connects with a leg kick. Ong throws an overhand right that lands on Dix's shoulder, as Dix tries to avoid the shot. Dix with the inside leg kick. Dix with the inside leg kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Dix. Ong loads up on a big right hand but Dix slips the punch.

Ong is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Ong on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Dix connects with an inside leg kick. Ong is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Dix's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dix connects with a solid leg kick. Dix throws a leg kick which misses Ong's front leg but catches the back leg as Ong tries to avoid it. Dix lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Dix lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Dix throws a quick inside leg kick. Ong chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dix can pounce on him.

and Dix counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Dix lands with a hook. Ong tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Ong moves into range and clinches up with Dix. Ong lands a shot to the body. Dix tries to pull guard but Ong won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dix turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Dix connects with a looping right hand.
Ong misses with an uppercut. Dix lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Ong lands with a hook. Dix tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ong rushes Dix and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Come on Ong - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
The referee calls for Ong to work.

Aiden Dix dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ong gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dix. Choi Ong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Good leg kick by Dix. Aiden Dix seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ong falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dix counters with a leg kick. Ong has closed the distance and engaged Dix in a clinch.

Aiden Dix showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Ong takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Ong takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Dix slips a jab and a cross from Ong.
Dix tries a quick counter leg kick but Ong is wise to it. Dix scores with the left hand. Ong knows he should have avoided that one. Dix has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ong clinches up against the cage. Ong lands with a right to the head. A body shot lands from Ong.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Choi Ong. I think Dix has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
