Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Alston (ranked 4344 p4p, 24368 weight class) and Agbay Amiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Agbay Amiga has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Alston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Agbay Amiga!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alston has closed the distance and engaged Amiga in a clinch.

Alston manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Amiga has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alston is proving hard to escape from.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alston shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amiga sprawls well. Amiga wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alston gets slowly back to his feet.

Alston rushes Amiga and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Alston is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Amiga is refusing to be controlled, as Alston sits in half guard.

Amiga wants to control but Alston is keeping busy.

Amiga is trying to maintain the position but Alston is very close to passing his half guard.

Alston wants to free his trapped foot but Amiga is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Alston throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Amiga replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Alston blocks it well.
Alston is looking to clinch.
Amiga thinks about the counter body kick.
Alston comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Alston falls off balance throwing a combination
and Amiga counters with a body kick that stops Alston in his tracks momentarily.

Alston stuffs the takedown attempt from Amiga. Amiga gets slowly back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Agbay Amiga's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Alston shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Amiga sprawls well. Amiga wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alston gets slowly back to his feet.
Marcus Alston is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Alston shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Alston goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Amiga shoots in looking for a takedown. Alston tries to sprawl out of it but Amiga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alston manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Alston shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Amiga as he jumps to the side.

Amiga walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Amiga drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Amiga counters with a body kick.
Amiga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alston sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alston is defended easily by Amiga.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Alston has Amiga up against the cage in a clinch.
Alston is looking to break free of the clinch but Amiga has double underhooks.

Alston stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Amiga wants to take the fight to the mat but Alston manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Alston drops down looking for an ankle pick but Amiga pulls his leg out and moves away.
A head kick by Alston misses
and Amiga makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Alston really felt that one!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Alston darts in and clinches Amiga up against the cage.
Alston effectively controlling the action here.
Amiga goes for a takedown attempt but Alston pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Alston shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Amiga changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Alston shoots in looking for a takedown but Amiga manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alston's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Amiga keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Amiga counters with a body kick.
Agbay Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alston closes the distance and clinches up with Amiga, looking for a takedown. Alston pushes Amiga against the cage but Amiga circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Amiga follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Alston wants to stand back up but Amiga manages to pass into side control.

Marcus Alston showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Alston, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
