Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Petsuwan Sitsongrit (ranked 24 p4p, 262 weight class) and Graham Mantle (ranked 2 p4p, 24 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 24 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Petsuwan Sitsongrit! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Graham Mantle! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mantle changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Graham Mantle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mantle with a poor takedown and Sitsongrit connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Sitsongrit looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Mantle digs a good hook to Sitsongrit's body.
Mantle connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Mantle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mantle closes the distance and clinches up with Sitsongrit, looking for a takedown. Mantle pushes Sitsongrit against the cage but Sitsongrit circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sitsongrit throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sitsongrit takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Sitsongrit throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sitsongrit swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Mantle swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sitsongrit throws a chopping leg kick but Mantle manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Sitsongrit misses with a wild body shot. Sitsongrit moves forwards but Mantle connects with a nice, crisp jab. Mantle lunges at Sitsongrit with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sitsongrit's hand.
It looks like Petsuwan Sitsongrit has been cut. Sitsongrit slips a straight right by Mantle. Nice shot by Mantle. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Mantle checks a leg kick. Sitsongrit looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mantle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sitsongrit keeps working. Sitsongrit sneaks out the side door and pushes Mantle away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Sitsongrit fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mantle has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Mantle avoids the head kick by Sitsongrit.

Mantle changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sitsongrit bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. The crowd cheers as Mantle lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sitsongrit doesn't seem phased though. Mantle gets a takedown into half guard. Mantle thows a huge punch but Sitsongrit dodges it nicely.

Mantle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mantle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mantle trying to control but Sitsongrit is working from the bottom. Mantle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mantle is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Sitsongrit throws out a loose jab but Mantle uses good head movement to avoid it. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sitsongrit preventing the sweep. Sitsongrit has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sitsongrit wanted to stand there but Mantle had control of the position. Mantle keeping moving, preventing Sitsongrit from controlling successfully. Mantle has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Mantle stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sitsongrit. Mantle's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Sitsongrit does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Sitsongrit fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Sitsongrit looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Sitsongrit thows a left - swing and a miss! Mantle slips under a jab from Sitsongrit. Mantle swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Mantle moves out of range of the leg kick from Sitsongrit. A telegraphed right hand from Sitsongrit misses the target. Mantle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Sitsongrit closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mantle gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Sitsongrit regains guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Graham Mantle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Mantle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
