Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rex Gunn (ranked 4308 p4p, 4336 weight class) and Thiago Braga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rex Gunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Braga! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Hugh Johnson and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunn moves into the clinch successfully.
Gunn is trying to break the clinch but Braga has him pressed against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Gunn's face as he tries to break the clinch. Braga dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Gunn is trying to break free. Gunn is trying to break the clinch but Braga has him pressed against the cage. Gunn cracks Braga with a nice body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gunn is looking to break free of the clinch but Braga has double underhooks. Gunn looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Gunn is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Gunn wants to break free but Braga has control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Braga slowing the pace effectively. Gunn is trying to break the clinch but Braga has him pressed against the cage. Braga is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gunn can't fight it off and eventually Braga manages to take the fight to the floor. Gunn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Braga slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Braga tries to move into full mount but can't pass Gunn's legs. Braga is looking to take a break and control but Gunn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Braga is staying tight to Gunn's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Braga passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gunn!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Braga controlling the pace for now. Gunn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gunn tries to get out of the position. Braga's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Gunn really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Braga tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. More stalling from Braga. Let's hope that Braga has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Braga with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Braga controlling his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gunn is squirming around, avoiding Braga's attempts to control the action. Braga looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Thiago Braga dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. A left and a right from Gunn both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Thiago Braga has been cut. Braga takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Gunn moves in looking to clinch but Braga pushes him off. Gunn misses with a takedown attempt - Braga sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Braga drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Gunn defends it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gunn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Gunn misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Braga.
Gunn lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gunn.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Braga paws at him with a jab and circles away. Braga feints the counter takedown. Gunn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Braga was well out of range. Poor timing from Gunn. Gunn throws a right hand that Braga ducks under and follows up with a left that Braga also avoids with ease. Braga is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Gunn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Braga counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Braga passes Gunn's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Braga passes the guard and advances to mount! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Braga controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thiago Braga has got the better of the ground game so far. Braga has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gunn is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Braga locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Gunn is forced to tap!
