Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sorry Eh (ranked 1080 p4p, 1805 weight class) and Sonny Day (ranked 152 p4p, 227 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sorry Eh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sonny Day!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Day scores with a jab. Eh acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Day fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A shot to the body from Day misses

and Eh counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Eh prevents Day from getting back to his feet.
Eh is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Day is trying to control the position but Eh postures up.

Day throws his legs up looking for a submission but Eh uses it to pass to side control.
Day told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Day sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Eh slows the pace down in half guard.
Day is looking for a sweep. Eh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Eh controlling the action here.
Eh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Day for as long as he can get away with.

Eh is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Day sees it coming and defends easily.
Day pushes Eh off looking to stand but Eh dives back in and keeps control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Day misses with a head kick.
Eh defending well as Day loads up on a big left hand.

Eh manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Day on his heels. He'll look to pass Day's guard now, I'm sure.
Eh is standing up over Day. Day looks to escape but Eh dives into side control.

Day takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Eh working the head with strikes.
Day seems a little lost for a moment, as Eh dominates the positioning.
Day manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Day wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eh lands strikes from half guard.
Day has hold of Eh's hands but Eh slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Day is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Eh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Eh's back!
Eh trying to get back to his feet but Day is in full control for now.
Eh is trying to break free.

Day has the hooks in. Eh is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Eh definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Day really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Eh.
Eh is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Day struggling to keep hold of the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Eh trying to survive by controlling the hands.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sonny Day will probably get the nod.
That's time! Eh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Day throws a right and a left that Eh avoids nicely.
Eh keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Eh appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Eh uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Day.
Day throws a combination. Eh tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Eh tries to move into range but Day moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Day scores with a sloppy right hand. Eh should have avoided that one.
Day throws a jab when Eh was well out of range.
Eh feinted with a counter takedown.
Day misses with a double jab.
Eh feinted with a counter takedown.
Day gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Eh counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Eh is standing up over Day. Day looks to escape but Eh dives into side control.
Eh lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Day down.
Eh working the head and body with strikes.
Eh in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Day is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Day looks to move to half guard but instead Eh has passed into mount! Damn!
Day is still in real trouble! Can Eh finish him?
Eh unloading with bombs!
Eh looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Day covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sorry Eh!
