Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy McCork!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shawn The General!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The General fails with a takedown attempt.
McCork looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The General tries to land a body kick

and McCork counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McCork throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as The General works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McCork preventing the sweep.
McCork postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The General is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
McCork lands a couple of elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCork lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The General bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McCork's guard.

The General pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McCork is keeping the position for now.
McCork wants to improve his position but instead The General has moved into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The General is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McCork sees it coming and defends easily.
McCork tries to roll over but The General keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The General is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McCork is holding on to half guard well.

The General wants to work for an arm triangle but McCork is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McCork is controlling The General's position as best he can from this difficult position.
McCork wants to improve his position but The General is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The General is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McCork sees it coming and defends easily.
McCork on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McCork tries to get out of the position.
McCork is trying to get back to full guard.

The General is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McCork doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time The General.
McCork knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The General on the ground.
McCork is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
McCork gets back to full guard.
McCork has his hands on The General's head, controlling the position.
The General is in close to McCork's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The General drops back looking for a leg! McCork is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McCork manages to kick The General off! The General jumps back into McCork's guard.

McCork is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
McCork wants to sweep here but The General controlling him for the moment.
McCork working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from The General.
The General trying to control but McCork is working from the bottom.
McCork bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in The General's guard.

The General looking to hit a scissor sweep but McCork is one step ahead there.
The General preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The General working a defensive guard here.
McCork wants to control from the top but The General keeps moving.
McCork is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because The General is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The General is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tommy McCork will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

McCork closes this distance looking for a takedown but The General circles away.
The General shoots in and drives through. McCork sprawls well.
McCork was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Good standup being displayed there by McCork as he connects with a hook.
McCork uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The General with a poor takedown
and McCork counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
McCork drops The General with a straight left! Oh this is bad for The General! McCork dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tommy McCork!
