The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durham connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Christy to the floor! Durham dives in looking for the finish!

Christy is rocked!

It looks like Owen Christy has been cut.

Durham is working for a kimura but Christy is defending it quite comfortably.
Christy is still in real trouble! Can Durham finish him?
Christy is staying active underneath Durham, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Christy decides to stand up, so the ref orders Durham to his feet.

Christy tightens his grip and picks Durham up, before dumping him to the ground. Durham manages to land in guard.

Durham is working an open guard so Christy takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Christy turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Christy manages to end up in side control.
The referee asks Christy politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Christy prefers to stall for the moment though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Durham is desperately trying to improve his position but Christy has a good base and remains in mount.

You get the feeling that Durham really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Christy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Durham looks a forlorn figure.
