Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - McTwist looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McTwist looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
McTwist takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
McTwist stuffs the takedown attempt from Matesic. Matesic gets slowly back to his feet.
Matesic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McTwist looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The referee asks Matesic politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Matesic prefers to stall for the moment though.
Matesic working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

McTwist wants to stand and escape but Matesic is having none of it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Matesic counters with a three punch combo that has McTwist backing up. McTwist nods at Matesic to acknowledge the strikes.
McTwist closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

and McTwist counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Matesic!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McTwist cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Matesic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Matesic wants to hold on but McTwist pushes him away.

McTwist prevents Matesic from getting the reversal.
Matesic tries to lock up and control but McTwist gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Matesic wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
McTwist tries to get the hooks in deep but Matesic pushed the leg off.
Matesic wants to control his opponent's hands but McTwist gets his hands free.
Matesic is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Matesic covers up after that shot from McTwist.
McTwist connects with a big shot to the side of Matesic's head.
Matesic just trying to survive but McTwist is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Matesic trying to control the position but McTwist manages to sink in the hooks.
McTwist is cranking Matesic's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Matesic! He's tightened the choke and Matesic is tapping out!
