Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marie Pier Houle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Don Beast!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Houle. Beast does a little dance to reset his feet.
Beast tries to close the distance and clinch but Houle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Houle was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Don Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Houle misses with a body shot.
Houle has taken the fight to the clinch.
Beast tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Beast is trying to pull guard but Houle has him pressed against the cage.
Beast jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Houle showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Houle definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Houle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beast on the ground.
Houle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beast swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Houle controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beast looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Houle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Beast is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Houle rolls with it to try and escape but Beast cranks on the arm and Houle is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
