Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Feynman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Deontologicus Smiff!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff shoots in looking for a takedown but Feynman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Smiff's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Smiff shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Smiff dives in and grabs Feynman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Feynman pushes down on Smiff's head and hops out.
An attempted straight right counter from Feynman misses the target.
Richard Feynman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deontologicus Smiff.
Smiff needs to keep his hands up - Feynman had a free shot at his head there.
Feynman lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Smiff goes for a double leg but Feynman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Feynman continues to drive forward.

and Smiff counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Feynman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smiff accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Smiff makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Smiff wants to control from the top but Feynman keeps moving.
Smiff is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Smiff looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Smiff throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Feynman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Feynman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smiff on the ground.
Smiff trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Smiff controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Smiff stands and throws Feynman's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smiff tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Smiff landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Feynman holds on to Smiff's head and controls the position momentarily.
Smiff tries to advance to mount but can't.
Smiff advances nicely into full mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smiff swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Feynman is now in Smiff's guard. A big mistake from Smiff there, giving up the dominant position!

Smiff is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Smiff is looking for a triangle here but Feynman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Smiff is looking to regain half guard here but Feynman keeps moving and retains side control.
Smiff manages to get back to half guard.
Feynman prevents Smiff from improving his position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Smiff works his way to full guard. Good work.
Smiff is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Feynman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smiff has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Feynman has managed to get both his arms back between Smiff's legs - danger averted.

Smiff working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Feynman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Feynman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Smiff has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Smiff pulls Feynman in close to prevent any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jab, jab by Feynman - just one landing.
Smiff shoots in for a takedown but Feynman shows good takedown defense.
Smiff throws a low kick but it's checked well by Feynman.
Smiff takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Feynman is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Smiff fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smiff shoots in looking for a takedown. Feynman tries to sprawl out of it but Smiff keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Feynman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A little feinted left hand from Feynman on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Smiff looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Feynman connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smiff momentarily.
Smiff bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Smiff will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
It looked like Feynman wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Smiff tries for a takedown but Feynman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Feynman throws a body shot but no joy.
Smiff takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

and Feynman counters with a crisp right hand that drops Smiff! Feynman lets Smiff back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Smiff tries for a takedown but Feynman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Smiff switches off momentarily and Feynman cracks him with a monster right hand! Smiff topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Feynman dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Feynman!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Richard Feynman!
