Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Planck (ranked 2379 p4p, 3029 weight class) and Lennox Lewis (ranked 284 p4p, 345 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Planck misses the shot to the body.
A little jabbing left from Lewis on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Lewis looks to land a right hand but Planck moved out of range.
Lewis throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Planck counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Lennox Lewis has been cut.
Lewis tries to clinch up
and Planck counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Max Planck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Planck swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Planck loads up on a big right hand but Lewis slips the punch.
Lewis avoids the body shot from Planck.

Lewis counters with a body kick.
Planck scores with a sloppy right hand. Lewis should have avoided that one.
Planck uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lewis.
Lewis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Planck misses with a straight right.
Lewis moves out of range as Planck strikes.
Planck is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Planck ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Lewis ducks under a wild hook from Planck.
Planck thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lewis tries to counter with a clinch but Planck shakes him off and moves away.
A low kick from Planck misses
and Lewis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice defenses there by Lewis.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Planck walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lewis checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Lewis counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Max Planck has been cut.
Planck tries to clinch but Lewis moves out of range.

Planck looks to land a right hand but Lewis moved out of range.
Planck lunges at Lewis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lewis's hand.

That has opened up Lennox Lewis's cut even more.
Planck throws a right hand that misses
and Lewis counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Planck tries to clinch there but Lewis circles away.
Lewis throws a hook but Planck avoids it easily.
A big left from Planck misses.
Lewis misses with a looping left.

The cut above Lennox Lewis's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Lewis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Planck on the side of the head.

Lewis throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Planck misses with a right hand

and Lewis counters with a crisp right hand that drops Planck! Lewis lets Planck back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Planck is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lewis scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Planck doesn't seem bothered though.
Oh Planck is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lewis might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Planck is breathing heavily.
Crack! Lewis connects with the perfect overhand right and Planck falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Lewis!
