Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Brook (ranked 1554 p4p, 1986 weight class) and Jonas Carvalho (ranked 204 p4p, 243 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Carvalho throws a combination. Brook tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Brook here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

It looked like Brook wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Brook closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Carvalho did well to prevent Brook getting side control.

Brook slips a nice elbow through Carvalho's hands, connecting with Carvalho's forehead.

Brook is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carvalho is just riding it out for now. Brook eventually gives up the hold.
Brook thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carvalho's head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brook connects with a nice short shot to Carvalho's temple.
Carvalho pushes Brook off looking to stand but Brook dives back in and keeps control.
Brook wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carvalho keeps working.
Brook is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Brook has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Carvalho defend it? Brook steps over the head and cranks it - Carvalho is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Brook!
