PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tino Takala (ranked 2997 p4p, 2796 weight class) and Cyrius Python (ranked 374 p4p, 353 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Python fails with the takedown
and Takala counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Cyrius Python has been cut.

Takala moves into the clinch successfully.

Python has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Takala uses from the top position.

Python bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Python accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Python wants to control from the top but Takala keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Takala ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Python moves away.
Python shoots in for a takedown but Takala shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Python shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Takala pinned against the cage. Takala gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
