Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Gaizka Elizondo (ranked 4584 p4p, 2168 weight class) and Iaspero Yalixqua (ranked 490 p4p, 273 weight class). Elizondo comes to the ring accompanied by Peewee Longway & Money Man - Ooowwweee. Yalixqua is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Stop This Flame. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yalixqua throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
We've been informed that Yalixqua has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Yalixqua throws a lazy right hand but Elizondo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Elizondo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Elizondo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Elizondo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Some wild striking there from Yalixqua.
Yalixqua blocks a head kick by Elizondo.
Yalixqua replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Elizondo blocks it well.
Yalixqua with the inside leg kick.
Elizondo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Yalixqua lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yalixqua fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Elizondo manages to avoid it.
Yalixqua takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Elizondo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Elizondo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Yalixqua plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Elizondo swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Elizondo face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!

Iaspero Yalixqua decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
