Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charles Bukowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raminus Polus!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bukowski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bukowski showed some decent athleticism there.
We've been hearing that Bukowski has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Polus regains full guard. Nicely done.
Polus is controlling Bukowski's posture.

Polus working for a triangle but Bukowski defends it easily.
Bukowski wants to control from the top but Polus keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Our spies down at at Oblivion Gate inform us that Polus has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bukowski wants to control from the top but Polus keeps moving.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bukowski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Polus controls Bukowski momentarily but Bukowski frees himself.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

and Polus counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A relieved looking Raminus Polus thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
