Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Carlton Adesanya (ranked 21804 p4p, 5991 weight class) and Farto Fuerte (ranked 454 p4p, 433 weight class). Farto Fuerte has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlton Adesanya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Farto Fuerte!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuerte blocks a head kick by Adesanya.
As Adesanya backs off Fuerte throws a huge counter combo but Adesanya manages to avoid it all.
Fuerte has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Fuerte counters with a lovely straight right hand!

A little jabbing left from Fuerte on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adesanya's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Adesanya duly obliges.
Adesanya staggers Fuerte with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Fuerte looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!
It looks like Farto Fuerte has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Adesanya throws a right hand that misses
and Fuerte counters with a three punch combo that has Adesanya backing up. Adesanya nods at Fuerte to acknowledge the strikes.

Adesanya throws out a head kick that Fuerte doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Fuerte crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Fuerte's eyes and has decided to let it go on!

and Fuerte counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Adesanya lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fuerte circles away quickly and effectively.
Adesanya lands a nice shot that snaps Fuerte's head back.

Adesanya feints a jab promting Fuerte to slip. Adesanya then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Fuerte slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Adesanya looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Adesanya throws a right hand that Fuerte ducks under and follows up with a left that Fuerte also avoids with ease.

Adesanya lands with an uppercut that bounces Fuerte off the ropes and back into range.

and Fuerte counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fuerte seems to have recovered his senses.

Adesanya lands a head kick that bluckles Fuerte and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Adesanya no doubt looking to push for a finish!
