The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Von Blomberg throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Alvarez seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Alvarez showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Von Blomberg.
Von Blomberg throws a combination that misses
and Alvarez counters with a straight right hand.
Alvarez misses with a takedown attempt - Von Blomberg sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Alvarez jabs Von Blomberg to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Erich Von Blomberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alvarez throws a wild hook but Von Blomberg just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Alvarez gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Von Blomberg raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Erich Von Blomberg!
Erich Von Blomberg bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
