Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nacho Vidal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hasbulla Nurmagomedov!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vidal gets tackled into the cage by Nurmagomedov. Nurmagomedov maintains the clinch.
I was talking to Vidal's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Nurmagomedov is trying to trip Vidal. He has hold of a leg but Vidal is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Nurmagomedov persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Nurmagomedov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vidal swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nurmagomedov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nurmagomedov stands up over Vidal, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Vidal is rocked!
Nurmagomedov loads up on a big left hand. Vidal felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Nurmagomedov looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Vidal can't hide his disappointment, as Nurmagomedov celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hasbulla Nurmagomedov!
