Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kody Harbrant (ranked 5151 p4p, 2320 weight class) and Roman Kos (ranked 473 p4p, 282 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kody Harbrant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roman Kos! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harbrant gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kos counters with a lovely straight right hand! Harbrant takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kos throws a right and a left that both miss. Harbrant tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kos looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Harbrant has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Deep waters in the buildup to the fight. Harbrant is looking to clinch. Kos throws out a counter right but Harbrant avoids it with no problem. Kos lands a high kick!
It looks like Kody Harbrant has been cut. Harbrant uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kos. Nice defenses there by Harbrant. Harbrant slips a straight right by Kos. Nice jab there from Kos. Kos drops Harbrant with a beautiful combination! Harbrant stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kos is looking for the KO!
Harbrant is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harbrant tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kos paws at him with a jab and circles away. Oh Harbrant is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kos tests Harbrant's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kos misses with a body punch
and Harbrant holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Harbrant pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kos keeps the fight on the outside. Harbrant seems to have got his legs back now. Kos takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Harbrant tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kos paws at him with a jab and circles away. Roman Kos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kos throws a jab but it's blocked by Harbrant. Harbrant wants to clinch. Harbrant rushes Kos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kos has had enough of the clinch but Harbrant keeps him there for the moment. Harbrant wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kos misses with some punches.
Kos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Harbrant tries to clinch and Kos counters with a solid body kick. Harbrant scores with a sloppy right hand. Kos should have avoided that one. Harbrant bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Kos throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Harbrant gets in close and instigates a clinch. Harbrant breaks the clinch.
Kos takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Kos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kos throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Kos misses with a straight left. Harbrant gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kos looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kos breaks from the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters circling - Kos throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Harbrant is defended easily by Kos. Harbrant gets the takedown into side control. Kos tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Kos squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Harbrant content just to control the position here. Kos is squirming around, avoiding Harbrant's attempts to control the action. Kos is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kos stops Harbrant from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Harbrant moves to the back. Kos is trying to stand back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kos is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kos is trying to stand back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Roman Kos dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kody Harbrant's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Harbrant gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Harbrant tries to pull guard but Kos holds him up against the cage and eventually Harbrant drops back down to his feet.
Kos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kos misses with an uppercut. Harbrant throws a big counter combination but Kos scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Harbrant takes the fight into the clinch. Kos misses with a short punch on the inside. Kos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Harbrant wants to clinch up but Kos keeps it at a distance. Kos throws out a counter right but Harbrant avoids it with no problem. Kos circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Harbrant looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kos feints a counter leg kick. Harbrant lands with a good body shot. Kos looks to land a left hand but Harbrant moved out of range nicely. A good leg kick by Kos. A looping hook to the body misses from Kos. Harbrant does a little dance to reset his feet. Roman Kos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Harbrant avoids the head kick by Kos.
Kos swats away the attempt to clinch by Harbrant. A countering left hand to the body from Kos misses. Harbrant tries to clinch up but Kos circles away and keeps his distance. Harbrant tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kos defends well and Harbrant ends up having to push Kos into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kos is trying to force a seperation but Harbrant has the dominant position. Kos is looking to break free of the clinch but Harbrant has double underhooks. Harbrant misses with an elbow strike.
Kos working hard to break the clinch. Harbrant blocks a body shot from Kos. Harbrant is trying to pull guard but Kos has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kody Harbrant. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kos lands a hook that snaps the head of Harbrant backwards. Kos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kos stuffs the takedown. Harbrant moves in looking to clinch but Kos pushes him off. Kos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harbrant was well out of range. Poor timing from Kos. Harbrant half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Kos throws a jab but it's blocked by Harbrant. Harbrant tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kos misses with a hook. Harbrant tries to counter with a takedown but Kos is quick to defend against it. A swing and a miss from Kos. Harbrant tries to close the distance and clinch but Kos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kos is looking for the big counter here. Kos misses with a hook
and Harbrant counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kos won't be happy with that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Harbrant tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kos's legs. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harbrant looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kos is avoiding damage well.
Kos is trying to buck Harbrant off. Kos throws Harbrant to one side and escapes! Kos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kos fails to land with a series of punches.
Kos throws a wild body kick that Harbrant sees coming a mile off. Harbrant dives in and scores a takedown into Kos's guard. Kos utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kos has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kos wants to stand up but Harbrant is controlling him. Kos pushes Harbrant off and gets back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Roman Kos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kody Harbrant's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Kos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kos looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Harbrant is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kos to keep the fight standing. Harbrant jumps guard and drags Kos to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Kos wants to stand but Harbrant is controlling his posture from full guard. That's one minute gone in the round. Harbrant is pulling down on Kos's head. It's preventing any offense from Kos, at least for the moment. Harbrant looking for a sweep. Not yet Harbrant, not yet. Harbrant bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kos's guard. Harbrant wants to control from the top but Kos keeps moving. Harbrant looking to pass the guard. Harbrant wants to control from the top but Kos keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harbrant sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kos is wriggling around but Harbrant manages to pass to half guard.
Harbrant has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Harbrant trying to control but he's not successful this time. Kody Harbrant has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kos wants to get back to his feet.
Harbrant jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kos manages to avoid the submission attempt. Kos is not content to let Harbrant control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kos wants to get back to his feet. Harbrant tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kos is pushing Harbrant's head away, looking to escape. Harbrant manages to hold on to the position though. Harbrant tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harbrant has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kos is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Roman Kos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Harbrant tries for a kimura but Kos is defending well. Harbrant thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kos wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Kody Harbrant showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
