Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Gracie (ranked 5215 p4p, 3534 weight class) and Jaimie Hopson (ranked 570 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ethan Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jaimie Hopson! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Gracie avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hopson misses with a straight left. Gracie tries to counter with a takedown but Hopson is quick to defend against it. Gracie walks into a stiff left hand from Hopson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie takes one to the chin there. Hopson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Hopson. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet. Hopson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Hopson works over Gracie's head and body with a nice combination. Hopson scores with a hook. Hopson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hopson throws out the jab. Hopson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A shot to the liver by Hopson. Beautiful body shot. Hopson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gracies jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Hopson throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily. Gracie appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Hopson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hopson.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Nice straight punches there by Hopson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hopson. Hopson misses with a straight right. Hopson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Gracie eats them both and turns towards Hopson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Hopson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Jab from Hopson. Hopson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Hopson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Jaimie Hopson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gracie takes one to the chin there.

Hopson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Hopson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Hopson lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming. Hopson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie moves out of range of the strikes. Gracie looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Hopson throws a jab but it's blocked by Gracie. Decent striking displayed by Hopson there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hopson misses with a low kick as Gracie jumps back. Gracie appears to be looking for a counter takedown. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jaimie Hopson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Hopson catches Gracie with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Hopson swings away with a leg kick that misses. Hopson misses with a leg kick and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown. Hopson fights it but they end up in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hopson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gracie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hopson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard. Hopson wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard. Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hopson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Oh, Gracie has tightened it up now! Hopson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
