Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mick Percival (ranked 3634 p4p, 6035 weight class) and Jssa Bdd (ranked 139 p4p, 179 weight class). Jssa Bdd told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mick Percival! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jssa Bdd! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Percival gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Bdd wants to break the clinch but can't.
Percival has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bdd regains guard immediately. Percival looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Percival landing with the ground and pound. Percival content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Percival postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Percival might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Percival controls from within his opponent's guard. Percival gets to his feet - Bdd follows without any prompting. Percival looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Percival looks to score with a jab to the body but Bdd is just out of range. Bdd connects with a high kick. Bdd throws a head kick but Percival moves out of range.
Percival cracks Bdd with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Bdd looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Percival finish him?
It looks like Jssa Bdd has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Bdd lands with a slapping head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick by Bdd misses and Percival counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bdd tries to kick Percival off in order to stand up. Percival Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Percival in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Bdd is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mick Percival!
