Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manny Paiwia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Caleb Paterson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paterson tries for a takedown but Paiwia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Paiwia cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Manny Paiwia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caleb Paterson.
Paterson goes for a double leg but Paiwia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Paiwia continues to drive forward.
Paiwia uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Nice takedown defense from Paiwia. No joy for Paterson on that attempt.
Paiwia finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Paterson tries to pull guard but Paiwia forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Paterson jumps guard and drags Paiwia to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Paterson tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Paiwia has taken his back.

Paiwia has the hooks in. Paterson is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Paiwia passes his arm under Paterson's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Paterson taps!

After the fight, Manny Paiwia was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
