Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zalt Gaanja (ranked 1393 p4p, 2268 weight class) and Kobe Bryant (ranked 216 p4p, 323 weight class). Gaanja comes to the cage accompanied by Nathan Evans - Wellerman. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zalt Gaanja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryant takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
No luck for Gaanja with that takedown attempt.
As Gaanja backs off Bryant throws a huge counter combo but Gaanja manages to avoid it all.
Gaanja throws an off balance right hand
and Bryant counters with a three punch combo that has Gaanja backing up. Gaanja nods at Bryant to acknowledge the strikes.
Gaanja misses with a body shot.
A countering left hand to the body from Bryant misses.
Gaanja misses with a hook. Bryant ducked under it nicely.
Bryant misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bryant displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gaanja.
It seemed like Bryant was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Gaanja misses with a wild body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gaanja doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Bryant counter with a right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zalt Gaanja. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bryant misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gaanja misses with a right hand
and Bryant counters with a right hand to the body.
Gaanja is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bryant.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gaanja looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bryant is fending him off so far but Gaanja persists. Nope, Bryant circles away and we're back to standing.
Bryant keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gaanja tries for a takedown but Bryant sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bryant slips under a jab from Gaanja.
Oooooh!!! Bryant has knocked Gaanja down with a huge combo! Bryant steps away and waves a wobbly Gaanja back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Gaanja is rocked!
Gaanja switches off momentarily and Bryant cracks him with a monster right hand! Gaanja topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Bryant dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Bryant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kobe Bryant!
Kobe Bryant made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'EVERYONE SMESH EVERYONEE!!!'.
