Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Galanis (ranked 729 p4p, 2452 weight class) and Abdul Kaloev (ranked 112 p4p, 344 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Abdul Kaloev was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adrian Galanis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdul Kaloev! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Galanis works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Galanis dips to his left and cracks Kaloev with an uppercut! Kaloev takes a jab right on the kisser.
Galanis lands a head shot. Galanis smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Galanis connects with a leg kick. Kaloev uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Galanis. Kaloev is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Galanis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kaloev was well out of range. Poor timing from Galanis. Kaloev throws a body shot but no joy. It looked like Galanis wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Galanis's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kaloev under the eye. Galanis connects with a high kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kaloev takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kaloev throws a leg kick but Galanis sees it coming and checks it nicely. Kaloev takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Kaloev misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Galanis.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kaloev rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Galanis moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Galanis lands with a cross. Galanis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kaloev manages to avoid it. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kaloev has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Galanis connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kaloev. Kaloev circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Adrian Galanis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kaloev shoots for a double leg takedown but Galanis sprawls well. He's pushed Kaloev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Galanis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. It looks like Galanis has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Kaloev ducks right into an uppercut from Galanis. Galanis throws a hook but Kaloev avoids it easily. Kaloev is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Galanis connects with a nice looking jab.
Galanis scores with a jab to the jaw. Galanis lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kaloev is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Galanis lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Galanis wants to slow Kaloev down by chopping away at his legs. Kaloev feints the counter takedown. Kaloev has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Galanis finds it's way round the side to connect with Kaloev's head. Galanis lands a nice looking body shot.
Kaloev swings for the body but Galanis moves out of range.
Galanis was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kaloev misses with a hook to the body
and Galanis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Galanis feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kaloevs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kaloev looking to score a takedown here. Galanis is defending well but Kaloev drives through and ends up in Galanis's guard. Kaloev trying to move into half guard but instead Galanis has managed to sweep!
Galanis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Galanis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Galanis paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Kaloev bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Galanis connects with a looping right hand.

Kaloev is rocked! Galanis cracks Kaloev with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Kaloev falls to his knees and Galanis doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adrian Galanis! Adrian Galanis seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
