Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Galanis (ranked 729 p4p, 2452 weight class) and Abdul Kaloev (ranked 112 p4p, 344 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Abdul Kaloev was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galanis works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Galanis dips to his left and cracks Kaloev with an uppercut!
Kaloev takes a jab right on the kisser.

Galanis smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Kaloev uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Galanis.

Galanis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kaloev was well out of range. Poor timing from Galanis.

It looked like Galanis wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Kaloev rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Galanis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Galanis lands with a cross.
Galanis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kaloev manages to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kaloev has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Galanis connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kaloev. Kaloev circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Adrian Galanis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kaloev shoots for a double leg takedown but Galanis sprawls well. He's pushed Kaloev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Galanis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
It looks like Galanis has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Kaloev ducks right into an uppercut from Galanis.

Kaloev is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Galanis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Galanis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Kaloev bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Galanis cracks Kaloev with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Kaloev falls to his knees and Galanis doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adrian Galanis!
