Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Corts (ranked 3766 p4p, 3558 weight class) and Igor Cavalera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Adrian Corts could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Igor Cavalera's chin.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corts throws an off balance right hand
and Cavalera counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cavalera on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Cavalera rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Corts counters with a left and a right that stings Cavalera.

Cavalera tries to close the distance and clinch but Corts swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like Corts was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Corts ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

and Corts connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Corts is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Corts is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Cavalera takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cavalera is rocked!
Cavalera walks straight into a right hand from Corts - that's dropped him! Corts jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Cavalera from any more punishment! Cavalera complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
