This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Snail Tail! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 3 losses; Trevor Barnes! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Barnes has closed the distance and engaged Tail in a clinch.
Tail is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Barnes pulls him back up using the underhooks. Tail manages to pull guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Tail's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Tail has a loose triangle.
