Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 6024 p4p, 23785 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 37 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Fighter B shoots in but no luck this time.
Fighter A throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fighter B avoids it.
Fighter A stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fighter A wants it to stay on the feet.
Fighter A defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fighter B.
Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.

Fighter B shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fighter A is trying to defend but Fighter B finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fighter A on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fighter A tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A keeping control of the position.

Fighter B tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Fighter A flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Fighter B landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Fighter A preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Fighter A tries to get to full guard but Fighter B has control of the leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fighter A is doing well to control the position and prevent Fighter B from advancing to side control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fighter B misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fighter A thinks about countering with a body kick.

Fighter B is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fighter A's half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fighter A wants to control but Fighter B is keeping busy.
Fighter A keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fighter B throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Fighter A manages to escape and get back to his feet!
No luck for Fighter B with that takedown attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter B has a takedown stuffed.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Fighter A drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Fighter A working away.

Fighter A tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fighter A has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter B tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fighter A wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Fighter A controls the position.
Fighter B is trying to control Fighter A's posture but Fighter A avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fighter A just content to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fighter A stuffs the takedown.
Fighter A is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fighter B can do to turn this around?

Fighter A shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fighter B's guard.
Fighter A controlling from the top position.
Fighter B controlling the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A content to stall in guard here.
Fighter B has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Fighter A has passed into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Fighter A tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fighter B sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fighter A somewhat.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Xxx Xxx dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Fighter B scores with a spinning back kick!
Fighter B throws the kick towards the body but Fighter A avoids it.
A counter left hand to the body from Fighter A misses its target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B shoots for a double leg takedown but Fighter A sprawls well. He's pushed Fighter B's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fighter A jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fighter B.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter B is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fighter A sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
It appears Fighter A was looking to counter with a kick there.
Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xxx Xxx.
Fighter A looks for the body kick but Fighter B saw that one coming.
Fighter B now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Fighter B fails to land the takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fighter A is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fighter B's half guard.
Fighter B tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Fighter A manages to move to mount!
Fighter B is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Fighter A unloading with bombs!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fighter A controlling from mount.
Fighter A has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Fighter A landing shots from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fighter A controlling the position easily from mount.
Fighter A seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fighter B for as long as he can get away with.
Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
This is a sustained period of stalling by Fighter A.

And that's the end of the fight!
Xxx Xxx showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Fighter A has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
