And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Henny Bottles! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Hall drives through with a takedown into guard. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bottles looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hall is one step ahead there. Hall not doing a lot at the moment. Hall wants to free his trapped foot but Bottles is holding on for dear life with his legs. Bottles wants to get back to full guard. Bottles gets full guard. Hall controlling the pace for now. This is a sustained period of stalling by Hall. Hall prevents Bottles from getting the reversal. Hall is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Bottles is in real trouble.
Score +3 for taking back: Hall (13) vs (2) Bottles Bottles is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Hall off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Bottles is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hall.

That's twelve minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. You can see the frustration on Bottles's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

And that's the end of the fight! Hall takes the fight on points by 16 to 2. A relieved looking Scott Hall thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
