Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rice Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julianillo Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rice Boyd! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Julianillo Martinez! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez closes the distance and clinches up with Boyd, looking for a takedown. Martinez pushes Boyd against the cage but Boyd circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Boyd throws out a powerful jab. Boyd misses with a wild combination.
Boyd fails to land with a series of punches.
Martinez is looking to clinch but Boyd is avoiding it.
Martinez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Boyd tries to get back to half guard but can't. Martinez wants to take Boyd's back but he can't do it this time. Martinez looking for a guillotine from mount but Boyd is having none of it. Boyd is looking to get to half guard. Boyd tries to hold on but Martinez postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martinez throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Boyd is in all sorts of trouble here.
Martinez goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Boyd is on top in guard.
Boyd trying to control but Martinez is working from the bottom. Martinez keeping busy on the bottom but Boyd has passed one foot through into half guard.
Martinez looks gassed! Martinez wants to improve his position but Boyd is controlling well.
Boyd is working for a submission of some sort.
Boyd uses his free foot to push down on Martinez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Martinez.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boyd wants to control the pace but Martinez is squirming around nicely. Martinez tries to lock up and control but Boyd gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Martinez wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Martinez wants to get back to his feet. Martinez tries to break free.
What can Martinez do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Martinez prevents Boyd from getting a body triangle. Boyd is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Martinez has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Boyd has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Martinez taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Boyd doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rice Boyd! Rice Boyd is the new bantamweight champion!
