Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Strong (ranked 4539 p4p, 4459 weight class) and Islam Aliyev (ranked 488 p4p, 486 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strong throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Aliyev drives through and clinches with Strong against the cage.
Aliyev gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Rocky Strong has been cut.
Strong takes an elbow to the forehead.
Strong wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Strong is trying to break the clinch but Aliyev has him pressed against the cage.

Rocky Strong's cut is getting worse.
Aliyev is pressed up against the cage. Strong has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Aliyev down to the mat. Aliyev avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Islam Aliyev was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
