And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Howard Ii!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter is looking to clinch but Howard Ii is avoiding it.
Howard Ii swats away the attempt to clinch by Carter.
Carter throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Howard Ii's head.
Carter throws a wild body kick that Howard Ii sees coming a mile off.
Jay Howard Ii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter goes for a double leg but Howard Ii avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Howard Ii continues to drive forward.
Howard Ii pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Howard Ii closes the distance looking for a takedown. Carter stuffs it but Howard Ii still has hold of him. Howard Ii picks Carter up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Howard Ii slams Carter to the floor and that's really hurt Carter - he doesn't know where he is! Howard Ii throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
