Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deutsche Krieger Ii (ranked 4367 p4p, 4401 weight class) and Denis Koegel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Deutsche Krieger Ii!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Denis Koegel!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Krieger Ii darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Koegel has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Krieger Ii is on him like a limpet, forcing Koegel back against the cage.

Koegel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Koegel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Krieger Ii counters with a nice uppercut.

Koegel rushes Krieger Ii and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Krieger Ii tries for a takedown but Koegel manages to get underhooks.
Krieger Ii fails to pull guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Krieger Ii has Koegel pressed against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Koegel scores with a nice short uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Krieger Ii.
Koegel is pressed up against the cage. Krieger Ii has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Koegel down to the mat. Koegel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deutsche Krieger Ii. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Krieger Ii looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Koegel is fending him off so far but Krieger Ii persists. Nope, Koegel circles away and we're back to standing.

Koegel remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Krieger Ii is pushing Koegel's head away, looking to escape. Koegel manages to hold on to the position though.

Koegel is looking to take a break and control but Krieger Ii is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Krieger Ii manages to work his way to half guard, despite Koegel's best efforts.

Koegel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Koegel throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Koegel is looking to advance position but Krieger Ii won't allow it.

Koegel seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Krieger Ii is staying active underneath Koegel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Krieger Ii keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Krieger Ii bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Koegel's guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Koegel shoots for a double leg takedown but Krieger Ii sprawls well. He's pushed Koegel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Koegel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Krieger Ii is on top in guard.

Koegel will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Koegel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Krieger Ii manages to get himself to full guard.

Koegel is looking to control Krieger Ii's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Koegel avoid being mounted?

Krieger Ii seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Koegel for as long as he can get away with.

That was a close second round but I would say that Deutsche Krieger Ii will probably get the nod.

Koegel wants to control from the top but Krieger Ii keeps moving.

I would just about give that final round to Denis Koegel.
I think Koegel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
