Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Shortman!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shortman shoots in for a takedown but Haardt shows good takedown defense.
Shortman tries for a takedown but Haardt circles away easily
and Haardt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like James Shortman has been cut.

Haardt has taken the fight to the clinch.
Haardt lands an elbow just above Shortman 's eye.
A short left from Haardt.

That has opened up James Shortman's cut even more.
Haardt content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Haardt scores with a shoulder strike.
Haardt crunches a lovely knee into Shortman's ribcage.
Haardt lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Shortman takes a knee right on the jaw!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Haardt creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Shortman's defenses.

The cut above James Shortman's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Haardt drops Shortman onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Shortman is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Shortman is rocked!

James Shortman's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at James Shortman's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
