The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa fails to land with a series of punches.

Wade tries to break free but Balboa pushes him back against the cage.
Balboa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Balboa is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wade dives into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Balboa can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've been hearing reports that Wade has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Balboa connects with a nasty looking knee right to Wade's face.
It looks like Bertrand Wade has been cut.
Wade has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Balboa uses from the top position.
Balboa working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wade's head.

Balboa gets to his feet and stands over Wade, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Wade felt that one! Balboa unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Wade from any more punishment!
