PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Juan Kemonito (ranked 1986 p4p, 1699 weight class) and Great Tiger (ranked 107 p4p, 89 weight class). Kemonito kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kemonito Entrance Music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Juan Kemonito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Great Tiger!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kemonito fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kemonito throws a head kick that misses.
Kemonito swats away the attempt to clinch by Tiger.
Tiger connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Kemonito fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tiger, pushing him back against the cage.
Kemonito pressing his opponent against the cage.
Kemonito is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tiger is defending well.
Tiger is trying to break free.
Tiger's coach down at Sprawl & Brawl was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tiger's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tiger's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kemonito tries to clinch up but Tiger circles away and keeps his distance.

Tiger darts in and clinches Kemonito up against the cage.
Tiger misses with an elbow strike.
Kemonito goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee is keeping an eye on Kemonito - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Tiger breaks from the clinch.
Good exchange - Tiger coming out on top.
Kemonito walks into a left hand.
Kemonito pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Tiger throws out a counter right but Kemonito avoids it with no problem.
Kemonito tries to close the distance and clinch but Tiger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kemonito moves out of range of the leg kick from Tiger.
Tiger swats away the attempt to clinch by Kemonito.
Kemonito tries to clinch there but Tiger circles away.
Kemonito fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nice body punch from Kemonito.
Kemonito has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Tiger.
Tiger goes for a double leg but Kemonito avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kemonito continues to drive forward.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kemonito is looking to clinch.

Kemonito has managed to clinch.

Kemonito has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tiger clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kemonito trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Tiger doesn't escape.
A lull in the action here.
Kemonito is hanging on to Tiger's back as he tries to escape.
Tiger avoids the strikes from Kemonito.

Kemonito is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Tiger has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Kemonito punches Tiger on the ear.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Tiger won't enjoy being in this position. Kemonito looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Tiger is tapping - it's over boys! Kemonito picks up the submission victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Juan Kemonito!
Juan Kemonito was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
