Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Horace Cuba (ranked 1907 p4p, 2709 weight class) and Oscar Meyer (ranked 244 p4p, 318 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Horace Cuba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 37 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Meyer! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cuba shoots for a double leg takedown but Meyer sprawls well. He's pushed Cuba's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cuba rushes Meyer and presses him up against the cage. Meyer goes for a takedown attempt but Cuba pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Cuba pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Meyer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Cuba throws a jab but it's blocked by Meyer. Cuba is looking to clinch but Meyer is avoiding it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cuba tries a knee to the head but Meyer blocks it.

Meyer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Meyer shoots in but no luck this time. Cuba wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cuba feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Meyers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! No luck for Meyer with that takedown attempt. Horace Cuba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Meyer. Cuba doesn't manage to clinch there - Meyer circles away.
Meyer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cuba but Cuba pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cuba wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Meyer tries to clinch there but Cuba circles away.
As Meyer looks to move away, Cuba throws a big counter combo but Meyer just gets out of the way. Meyer checks a low kick from Cuba. Meyer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cuba manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cuba swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Meyer throws a big shot that misses. Cuba tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Meyer manages to circle out of the way. Cuba looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Meyer is fending him off so far but Cuba persists. Nope, Meyer circles away and we're back to standing. Meyer raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Cuba lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Meyer at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meyer dives in for a single leg takedown but Cuba sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Meyer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cuba manages to avoid it. Meyer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cuba tries to avoid it but Meyer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cuba to the ground. Cuba escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Meyer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A punch combination from Cuba misses. Cuba misses with a jab, cross combination.
Meyer has a takedown stuffed. Cuba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Meyer pinned against the cage. Meyer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Meyer misses with a takedown attempt and Cuba counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cuba lands a head shot. Cuba connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Cuba lands a nice shot to the body.
Meyer shoots and misses and Cuba counters with a left to the body. Cuba lands a lovely overhand right. Cuba clinches. Meyer tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Cuba just misses with a elbow thrown towards Meyer's brow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Meyer blocks the elbow strike.

Horace Cuba is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cuba fails in his attempt to clinch. Cuba throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Meyer on the side of the head. Cuba throws a leg kick that is checked and Meyer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Cuba moves out of range as Meyer throws a body kick.
Cuba lands a really nice looking cross but Meyer seems unphased.
Cuba is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Meyer can do to turn this around? Cuba throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Meyer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jab by Cuba. Cuba connects with the punch. Cuba throws a body punch but Meyer moves out of range. Meyer misses with a kick to the body.
As Meyer tries to get set, Cuba tries to push him back and clinch up but Meyer manages to avoid the attempt.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cuba misses with a straight right. Cuba closes this distance looking for a takedown but Meyer circles away. I was talking to Cuba's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A nice glancing elbow lands by Cuba. Meyer can't get the takedown.

Horace Cuba is winning the standup battle so far. The crowd cheers as Cuba lands an impressive looking overhand right. Meyer doesn't seem phased though. Cuba loads up on a big right hand but Meyer slips the punch. Meyer has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Meyer there as he acknowledges the shot. Meyer stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cuba. Cuba tries to clinch there but Meyer circles away.
Jab, jab by Meyer - just one landing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cuba swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Oscar Meyer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A left lands for Cuba.
And that's the end of the fight! Horace Cuba showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cuba has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
