Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucio Eremenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coco Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucio Eremenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Coco Perez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Eremenko with that takedown attempt.
Perez doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Eremenko counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Perez!

Perez tries to lock up and control but Eremenko gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Eremenko tries to control but Perez wriggling away.

Eremenko stands up from mount. Strange move.
Perez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Perez there as he acknowledges the shot.
Perez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Eremenko's waist but Eremenko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perez off to one side.

Perez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Eremenko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Eremenko throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Perez with the ground and pound but Eremenko regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
The fighters are battling for position here. Eremenko manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Eremenko looking for a sweep. Not yet Eremenko, not yet.
Eremenko throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Perez wanted to stand there but Eremenko had control of the position.

Eremenko has his foot on Perez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perez works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eremenko lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Perez!

Eremenko lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Eremenko is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Eremenko throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Perez misses with a double jab.

Eremenko closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Eremenko lands in his opponent's guard.
Eremenko is breathing heavily.
Eremenko wants to control from the top but Perez keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Eremenko pushes down on Perez's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Perez is trying to stand.
Eremenko passes the guard and advances to mount!
Perez is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Eremenko has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Perez's face.
Perez is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
You get the feeling that Perez really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eremenko is in the full mount, landing strikes.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Perez moves into range and clinches up with Eremenko.
Eremenko tries for a takedown. No joy.
Eremenko is trying to drag Perez to the mat but Perez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Eremenko misses with a short punch on the inside.
Eremenko is stalling here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eremenko wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Perez fails to pull guard.
Eremenko gets underhooks to prevent Perez's takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Perez on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Eremenko jumps into guard, dragging Perez to the mat.
Perez wants to get up but he can't break Eremenko's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Perez lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Eremenko tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Eremenko tries to strike from the bottom.
Eremenko looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Perez puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Perez tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Eremenko.

Perez decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Lucio Eremenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice combination there by Perez.

Eremenko shoots in looking for a takedown. Perez tries to sprawl out of it but Eremenko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Perez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucio Eremenko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Perez keeps the fight on the outside.

Perez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Eremenko circles away.
Perez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Perez scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Eremenko on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Eremenko kicks Perez off and gets back to his feet.
Eremenko stuffs the takedown attempt from Perez. Perez gets slowly back to his feet.
Perez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Perez tries to keep at a distance but Eremenko has taken the fight into the clinch.

Perez breaks from the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Eremenko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Perez as he jumps to the side.

Eremenko gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Eremenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Perez is looking to stand up but Eremenko won't let him.

Eremenko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Perez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Perez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Coco Perez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Perez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Perez.

and Perez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Eremenko won't be happy with that.
Eremenko wants to control but Perez postures up.
Eremenko is looking to regain half guard here but Perez keeps moving and retains side control.
Eremenko is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Perez off and has taken his back!
Perez trying to get back to his feet but Eremenko is in full control for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Eremenko just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Eremenko. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Perez controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Eremenko is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Eremenko working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Perez is doing well to defend. Eremenko seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Perez is forced to tap and this one is over!
